The Chiapas Media Project exists because of the support of concerned individuals throughout North America. Please make a generous tax-deductible donation payable to Chiapas Media Project, 4834 N. Springfield, Chicago, IL 60625.

A typical digital8 video camera package costs about $700. Donations of any amount are helpful. Your gift helps to purchase video cameras, computers, editing equipment, batteries and solar panels. Your donation covers the modest stipends that enable teachers to teach and students to learn these vital skills.

Donate Equipment:

Donate video or still cameras, laptop computers or other communication and production equipment. (All equipment must be in excellent condition and no more then two years old). Please contact us prior to sending equipment donations.

All donations of equipment are tax-deductable to the full extent of the law.

Video and Audio Equipment:

The Chiapas Media Project is looking for video cameras no more than two years old, preferably digita8 or minidv camcorders that run on lithium batteries that have no memory.

We also need microphones, and audio mixers.

Digital Still Cameras with USB connectors

Laptop Computers:

We are looking for IBM compatible laptop computers with a pentium or newer processor and internal fax/modem.
